| Another holding session with mom |
Today was another quiet and positive day for Sloan. Her stats remain consistent and in the range they doctors would like to see. She was taken off the high flow oxygen and placed on wall oxygen at 100% but they are thinking they may be able to take her down on that tonight. She continues to feed, through a feeding tube, and is tolerating her portions. They started talking about maybe trying to feed her via mouth in the next few days. She has taking to sucking on her pacifier again so the nurses feel eating from a bottle may be easier for her than some other babies. She still has her chest tube and is receiving a few medications but hopefully we'll be able to get some of those off these next couple days.
There was some talk today about moving Sloan to a general care floor in the next day or two. Kyle and I are pretty concerned about this as it's only been two days since her shunt revision. We know how quiet things get at the hospital on the weekends and really would prefer to stay in PCTU through the weekend and then revisit things on Monday. They did move Sloan's room and pair her up so she's not 1:1 with a nurse anymore - she's now 2:1. But on a general care floor each nurse has 3 - 4 patients and we think Sloan needs a bit more attention to make sure the shunt revision really is the fix before she moves.

So thankful for a quiet and positive day! We will keep praying for her and you all. Hugs, Jenny B.
