We ended yesterday with Sloan doing quite well. When we left her room her stats were stable and the doctors were optimistic that they would be able to close her chest today. Well last night she took a dip down and we haven't been able to quite get our ground back yet. Sloan is struggling with finding a happy place with her meds. They think she may be dry so they give her fluids which pushes her blood pressure & oxygen levels too high. But then when they don't give her fluid her blood pressure and oxygen levels go too low. We've been on this roller coaster all day. Since she hasn't been able to get to a good spot, the doctor is not ready to close her chest. Kyle and I were so looking forward to taking this big step so we've been a bit down today knowing that she's not ready yet. We are trying to stay optimistic as we know there are going to be days like this. But it's hard to not be disappointed.

We also moved out of the RMH in the hospital and over to the big RMH. I have to admit we were both sad to be leaving as it was nice to be so close to Sloan and be able to pop over whenever we wanted without having to take a step outside. But, we feel lucky to be able to have gotten a room in the house. It has a lot of nice amenities and it is still very close by. Just a quick walk outside.
John and Anna stopped by again today to visit with us and Sloan. We are so blessed to have such amazing family & friends to provide us support. I don't think they know how much their support helps us get through each day and I'm not sure we'll ever be able to repay them for it either.
Tonight we are praying that Sloan begins to even out again so we can get closer to closing her chest and weening her off some of her meds. She's an unbelievably strong little girl and I know that she can do it, it's just the waiting game for her to be ready to get there.
