Surgery Update

Dr Ohye just came back and let us know that Sloan did very well during the shunt repair.  The issue he found was that the tissue at one end of her shunt was pulling in and closing it off.  He ended up reattaching the same shunt in a different area to fix this.  He said that her stats are now exactly where they want them and they are stitching her up right now and should be out of surgery in the next twenty minutes and settled into her room in the next hour and a half or so.  Now we'll just need to wait and see if she can maintain these stats before we know if she's out of the woods.  I would assume the next 24 - 48 hours will be the test if this is the final fix.

Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes.  We have quite the strong girl who has been through so much in just her two weeks of life!
